If you would like a relaxing  trip from the airport to Samana with no hassles our brother will pick you up directly from the airport in a comfortable van with plenty of room for you and your luggage. Its safe and secure. Eliseo speaks both Spanish and English and will bring you right to your apartment. We actually live right next door. He is also available to drop of and pick you up at destinations for vacationing or a break from service.  He is an elder in the congregation and we are all very busy in the preaching work so advance notice if possible is helpful.

Here are the prices for picking you up at the various airports in The Dominican Republic and bringing you to Samana.

Samana (AZS)  $65      This is the closest airport but usually expensive to fly into unless you are coming from the east coast. Check it out and add up the costs.

Santo Domingo (SDQ)    $160 US    This airport is usually the best price with good times to arrive and leave. Again check them out and figure the costs. The drive from this airport is 2.5 hours. On a nice highway.

Santiago (STI)   $150 US    Santiago is a great airport but usually more expensive or has oddball hours like arriving at 3am .  Again take time to compare and add prices. It is a longer drive from here to Samana because of the roads and small towns you pass thru.

Punta Cana (PUJ) $265 US Punta Cana sometimes has super deals but it is about 5 hours from Samana.

Puerto Plata (WXU)  $160 US  If you do a resort stay first maybe you would want to fly in here. Never priced it too far.

NOT SURE ABOUT GOING SOLO TO VARIOUS SIGHTS?

We have two options you can be picked up and dropped off with the private Van.

Or a brother can go with you as a guide using public transportation  to where you want to go. He charges $25 for the day plus expenses guagua fees or entrance fees if needed etc. He speaks Spanish and English and will also video tape and photograph your time if you like. He charges of course for the editing and sending you a copy. Its a great way to be able to relax and not worry you are being over charged or ending up in the wrong place and at the same time enjoy the culture and travel Dominican style.
